As a vital public space and position in campus, the recycling center has suffered from inefficient spatial design under traditional thinking, leading to low usability and cluttered, untidy idle spaces. In collaboration with TDRI, this project has undergone a comprehensive transformation of the entire recycling area, signage system, and lighting after a careful reassessment of the school's needs.

The area is delineated by a series of lightweight and transparent wave-like walls, seamlessly blending with the surrounding landscape. Diverse plantings are strategically incorporated, resulting in an intriguing pathway that leads visitors through the area. We have also implemented effective zoning and mechanisms to open up and showcase the process of waste collection. In this space, where everyday items are given a new lease of life, they seem to hover in the air. Each object, whether it's a PET bottle or an aluminum can, has been meticulously cleaned, orderly stacked, and granted a fresh purpose. The recycling center is no longer a secluded and dim room tucked away in a corner; it has become a thriving hub of regeneration within the campus, symbolizing hope for a sustainable future.
