People who do not rely on vision often possess more acute senses, such as touch and hearing, than those who depend on observation. Signal of Ware is a series of tableware designed with tactile and auditory cues, through which users gain feedback to enhance the dining experience for the visually impaired. The collection comprehensively comprises four tableware items: a sauce dish, a cup, a sushi plate, and a tray, ensuring a sense of ritual even for single-person dining. Meanwhile, it explores new functions, forms, and aesthetic designs based on tactile and auditory clues, boosting the blind’s sense of control during meals. This is not a set of tableware specially customized for the blind—non-visually impaired users can also find extra joy in using it.
