Walking into Hsinchu Old Houses is a three-phase social design project based in Hsinchu’s historic city center. Through a lifestyle market, interactive workshops, and a walking passport, it invites the public to reimagine the reuse and preservation of old houses. Using design as a medium, the project transforms aging townhouses from static relics into participatory, emotionally resonant public spaces—redefining them as living sites of cultural sustainability and urban memory.
