This project reinterprets mahjong through tea culture by transforming traditional tile symbols into four tea names—“Pu, Sau, Shui, Heung”—derived from simplified terms used in Hong Kong’s yum cha culture, forming a new visual system. The design adopts rounded square forms and minimal linear elements to emphasize order and rhythm, while exploring the relationship between tea drinking and gameplay, and reflecting on the translation and continuity of cultural memory in contemporary life.
