Guided by the principles of openness, sharing, and public participation, the design responds to diverse needs including archival preservation, restoration, research, and exhibition while creating an inclusive public knowledge space. Inspired by the stratified geology and red soil of the Linkou Plateau, it draws a parallel between archival layering and geological layering, expressed through a red-toned palette that reflects its role in recording and preserving history.
