We designed an organic, spatially layered house on the site facing the greenway in Tokyo. By setting the building back from the street, we created a small front garden and an outdoor terrace that extend the planting of the greenway. Using copper and wood— materials that age gracefully—we made a home that celebrates the passage of time. We also hope it becomes a colorful backdrop for people strolling along this well-loved path.
