In the rural context, suburban of Bangkok the house is located face to the river. The house was designed for an extended family which living together grandmother, sister, brother and his family. Therefore, the main condition of design is spatial hierarchy by separated step for divided private and public area. Meanwhile the step as generated common space for all of them by overlapping space.
The architect design plan by u-shape face open side to face the north for shading mass and used shadow for camouflaged interior space be more private. The U-shape is open plan increase cool temperature form water. The slope degree of roofs is irregular shape due to catching the natural light form the sun to make warm atmosphere in difference time follow the orbit of the sun.
Beside of design, the tectonic were concern issue for the architect. The architect endeavor simplifies clashing of materials, wood and traditional masonry wall. The materials were main idea for construction. The sand plaster was traditional tectonic work along with wood technic by wooden solid wall and semi- solid wall which allow wind to inside nevertheless protect the sunlight to interior space. The technic created architecture with light as acrobat of shadow. The house was configured by artisans such as carpenter, bricklayer and work along with architect and the owner to make a delicate piece.
