Quake Instant Response is built around three core pillars—real-time decision-making, personalized guidance, and interactive memory reinforcement—to enhance user readiness across the three critical phases of disaster response: preparedness, active crisis management, and post-disaster recovery.
The preparedness module includes emergency kit management, instructional content on furniture anchoring, and interactive simulation drills. These drills are enhanced with metacognitive questioning techniques drawn from psychology to reinforce memory retention and improve behavioral response in real-world scenarios.
During an earthquake, the system provides context-aware, real-time guidance based on the user’s location, building type, floor level, and situational conditions. A built-in safety notification mechanism allows for instant status updates with family members, enabling quick and coordinated response.
In the recovery phase, the platform integrates AI-powered structural risk assessments with streamlined access to government relief applications. A social engagement layer is also incorporated to foster ongoing participation and increase user motivation through community interaction.
The overall design adopts a guided, interactive experience that weaves disaster preparedness seamlessly into daily life—transforming abstract knowledge into intuitive, actionable behavior.
