“Moonlit Woods”uses the metaphor“the city is a forest”to activate Chiayi’s old town at night, addressing issues like disused old houses and cultural disconnection. Through night tours, street installations, restoration, and public forums, the project turns artistic action into a testbed for institutional engagement. Design becomes a learnable, translatable rhythm of micro-governance—relinking people, spaces, and systems, and opening new paths for collective urban imagination.
