Inspired by Nietzsche’s quote, “The snake which cannot shed its skin must perish,” Slough explores renewal and transformation in an age of constant change. Using genuine python leather, leathercraft, foil stamping, UV printing, embossing, and hand-finishing, the work evokes the texture and symbolism of shed skin, turning paper, craft, and philosophy into a tactile metaphor for growth.
