Kaohsiung Station creates a comfortable travel space through its expansive canopy and open voids. Inspired by a temple forecourt plaza, it features a sunken plaza and a cloud-like ceiling. Landscaped planting and bicycle paths on the canopy connect green corridors on both sides. By integrating the historic station with the new structure, it becomes a new urban gateway, combining seamless mobility, cultural memory, and contemporary architecture.
