This year, both awards will hold the Secondary Selection and Final Selection in September to determine the winning entries of the year. As the global pandemic eases, the "Golden Pin Design Award" Secondary Selection and Final Selection will resume on-site judging. Outstanding design works from around the world will once again come together for the competition at the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei. The Secondary Selection will take place on September 12th, followed by the Final Selection on September 19th, at the same venue. Entries that pass the Secondary Selection will be awarded and granted the right to use the "Golden Pin Design Award" mark. They will also qualify to proceed to the Final Selection, continuing to compete for the "Best Design Awards" and the "Special Annual Awards," symbols of the highest honors in the competition.
The Secondary Selection of the "Golden Pin Concept Design Award" will be conducted online to select the awarded entries and the shortlist for the Final Selection. The Final Selection is scheduled to take place on September 20th in Taipei, where participants will have the opportunity to present their works in person and vie for the favor of the judges, competing for the "Best Design Awards" and a cash prize of NT $400,000.
Moreover, in collaboration with "zeczec" (a renowned crowdfunding platform in Taiwan), the organizer will offer an exclusive opportunity for the participants who advance to the Final Selection. They can register for the "2023 zeczec Crowdfunding Proposal Contest," which grants them direct entry to the final round. Subsequently, upon successfully initiating the proposal on zeczec, they will receive in-depth guidance and a series of promotional resources to bring their creative ideas to life.
The 2023 Golden Pin Design Award and Golden Pin Concept Design Award will jointly host the award ceremony in Taipei in early December. During this grand event, the winners of the prestigious Best Design Award will be revealed. Finalists will have the privilege of attending the award ceremony and party, and the list of finalists will be announced before the ceremony.
