The Golden Pin Design Award is dedicated to recognizing outstanding design works and encouraging designers to pursue excellence and innovation. Each year, we collaborate with numerous leading media in the fields of art, design, and creativity. In 2023, the Golden Pin Design Award garnered support from 31 iconic media outlets across various regions including Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Thailand, becoming our official media partners. This includes first-time collaborations with Taiwan’s CommonWealth Magazine, Thailand’s GroundControl, and Malaysia’s ACG Media Group along with its publications COMMERCIAL CONCEPT, DESIGNER CONCEPT, Metropolitan Home, and the online media Designspeak.asia. Award-winning works recognized by the Golden Pin Design Award will have the opportunity to gain more international exposure on the global stage!

In Taiwan, we renewed the collaboration with LMG Media Group this year. LMG's online media platform, DesignWant, covers a wide range of topics including home decor, furniture, residential architecture, commercial spaces, and design accessories, offering daily international case studies to enrich readers' inspiration for life. Meanwhile, Living & Design magazine extensively gathers global residential space design cases and exhibition information, opening up a multifaceted perspective for its readers. id SHOW focuses on spatial living aesthetics and serves as a home design information platform featuring over 500 designers and numerous cases. It is also a comprehensive spatial design media outlet, providing in-depth coverage of Taiwan's industry dynamics, key industry figures, and global trends. House Style concentrates on interior design, building materials, quality products, and home life aesthetics. It provides up-to-date trend information and outstanding examples from Taiwan and internationally, while connecting the industry with designers to create a premier information platform for home renovation and lifestyle refinement.

Established in 1989, interior is one of Taiwan's longest-standing professional media outlets in spatial design. Each issue, in both English and Chinese, showcases top architectural and spatial design examples, covering design concepts, layout planning, unique construction methods, color aesthetics, and furniture and décor pairing. It is committed to offering a refined and visionary perspective that bridges the spatial coordinates between Taiwan and the world. MOT TIMES focuses on neighborhoods, cities, architecture, design, and the arts, delving into Taiwanese and international design trends. It provides design news, industry updates, and profiles of key figures, and annually plans extensive features. Dedicated to offering in-depth reporting with a sense of problem awareness and complete context, it stands out in an era dominated by the rapid spread of superficial information. Having dedicated over two decades to the Chinese interior design sector, MyHOME has been devoted to bridging the information gap between the public and the industry since its inception. Advocating the value of design, it disseminates home design trends and aesthetics through diverse channels such as publications, book publishing, and social media. Moreover, it continually engages with designers and the public through various events and courses of differing depths.

uDesign under the udnFunLife banner, merges design media with an e-commerce platform, focusing on four main areas: "Read.Design," "Buy.Design," "Theme Selection," and "Crowdfunding Pre-Orders." It pays close attention to the latest design trends in Taiwan and internationally, assembling global creative brands to provide information on life aesthetics and design products. La Vie is dedicated to exploring lifestyle trends and artistic design, catering to the readers' desire for aesthetics and providing practical approaches. Following its 2020 redesign, it now presents a more contemporary and humanistic brand image, integrating magazines, books, websites, and social media platforms to offer a comprehensive media experience with diverse and rich content. Shopping Design captures design elements that are "interesting, useful, and meaningful," featuring creatives with unique style and positive intentions. It delves into three main themes: design in life, style economy, and cultural innovation. Through its website, social media, magazine, and podcasts, it explores the fusion of ideal living with design, positioning itself as an influential media outlet in the Chinese-speaking world for design and lifestyle. Circle Magazine systematically explores various categories of graphic design, creates experimental projects and special editions, and delves into the essence and applications of different design genres. It shares the latest global design news on social media platforms, providing designers with a diverse and abundant source of inspiration.

The Golden Pin Design Award also actively forms partnerships with various arts and cultural media. This includes the first-time collaboration with Off Course: Focus on Life Style, a fashion and lifestyle channel under Taiwan's benchmark financial news media CommonWealth Magazine. Focusing on four major categories: style, culture, travel, and cuisine, it aims to provide high-quality content as an intellectual companion. In times of rapid change and increasingly challenging work environments, it guides readers to slow down and choose their ideal lifestyle. VERSE magazine, positioned as a new hybrid cultural media, focuses on exploring cultural and societal trends, creative industry strategies, and public issues. Dedicated to documenting the new era of Taiwan's cultural landscape, its emphasis on design aesthetics and reading experience has given the magazine a unique visual style, recognized by the 2020 and 2021 Golden Pin Design Awards. Very Mulan started as a social enterprise focused on empowering women, supporting their dreams and self-realization. It continually highlights the participation and contributions of women in social innovation across various fields, bringing attention to the strength and value of women.

As the first magazine on Japanese cultural impact on life, art, design, history, science, and technology in Taiwan, QDY magazine discusses one topic per issue from a variety of angles. Well received by Japanese culture lovers with an eye on bilateral exchanges, its unique and humorous visual aesthetics and editorial design won it the Golden Tripod Award for Best Lifestyle Magazine in 2017 and 2018 and Best Magazine Editor in 2017 as well as the Golden Pin Design Award in 2017 and 2021. The Lion Group set up XinMedia in 2011 as a We Media business with guides in tourism, culture, aesthetics, fashion, health, and other fields. Already a household name in the Chinese-speaking world for its travel and lifestyle content, this light-hearted learning and sharing platform conveys the charm of architectural and spatial design to the public through global case reports and trend analyses.

Among our long-term media partners in China, web portal channels Sina Real Estate Design and Sina Homeware proffer fascinating cases and practical advice on architecture and interior decoration. They are also active in building communication bridges between upstream and downstream industry sectors driven by news, think tanks, product competitiveness, and social media. Another long-term Chinese partner, Tencent Homeware, is a renowned home furnishings platform with a full range of services in decoration, product evaluation, and industry trends. TOPYS is dedicated to in-depth interviews with global avant-garde creatives, offering a wealth of creative design cases, brand information, studio reports, and urban arts and culture guides. It stands as one of the most influential platforms in China's creative field.

Among our international media partners are Hong Kong's IdN and Malaysia's CUTOUT, both entering their ninth year of cooperation with the Golden Pin Design Award. Published bimonthly in both Chinese and English, IdN compiles design works from around the world into themed graphic design guides covering packaging, infographics, brand identity, and more into a must-have publication for experts and enthusiasts alike. The fresh mindset on graphic design, pop culture, and exclusive interviews have won the semi-annual CUTOUT the Best Design of the 2014 Golden Pin Design Award and several international awards.

This year, we collaborated for the first time with Malaysia's largest home design media group, ACG Media, and its four renowned publications. DESIGNER CONCEPT is the only bilingual interior design magazine in Malaysia and the organizer of the country's largest interior design award, the "Designer of the Year Awards" (DOTY). COMMERCIAL CONCEPT magazine focuses on the latest and trendiest commercial space designs, exploring bold and refined design concepts from around the world. Metropolitan Home is a premier home living magazine, highlighting urban lifestyles with top modern designs and interior decorations, offering the ultimate guide to luxurious living. The online platform Designspeak.asia compiles exciting content from these publications, building a bridge between designers and clients, allowing professionals to gain recognition for their outstanding work.

There are also four Thai arts and design media outlets this year. The new partner GroundControl, a Thai creative agency focused on arts, is dedicated to promoting the popularization and innovation of art through creative content. It supports the development of numerous emerging and talented Thai artists by collaborating with artists and experts from various fields. Long-time partner art4d is a leading publication in Thailand's architecture, design, art, and creative fields ever since 1995. Available in both Thai and English, it is committed to fostering exchanges between Thailand, Asia, and the global art and design community. Under Thailand's renowned publishing group Amarin Group, room magazine focuses on modern home living aesthetics and styles. Its special issue, "100 BEST DESIGN," plans different themes in each edition, such as hotels, cafes, etc., gathering exceptional design works from around the world, serving as an excellent guide to outstanding international cases. Dsign Something, a burgeoning online media outlet in Thailand, focuses on architecture, landscape, and interior design. It is dedicated to uncovering and sharing classic global creative cases, offering reports that are both professional and of high quality. It also serves as a platform for industry exchange among Thai architectural firms and interior design studios.

The Golden Pin Design Award not only uncovers high-quality designs and recognizes their excellence and value but also continues to collaborate with global media partners to promote award-winning works, allowing great designs to shine on the international stage. The 2023 Golden Pin Design Award concluded successfully with the award ceremony on December 1st. The registration for the next year is expected to open in April.
