The Raw Edge Bench makes good use of the processing characteristics of serpentine marble by utilizing unused scraps and combining them with a metal mesh base. With a clean and simple design, it creates an elegant, neat, and pure chair that can be placed at the entrance, living room, or bedroom, adding a luxurious yet understated touch to the interior style.

Serpentine marble is a specialty of Hualien, Taiwan. In the past, it was commonly seen in Taiwanese furniture or architecture and was considered a highly sophisticated material, showcasing one's wealth and taste. Serpentine marble exhibits unique colours, including emerald green, watery white, and rocky black, with intertwining patterns that resemble the rich and timeless landscapes of Hualien, the birthplace of this stone.

During the conceptualization of the Edge Bench, the manufacturing process of Serpentine marble was re-examined, leading to the discovery of utilizing the maximum amount of material by cutting it into panels. This process generates irregular scraps that cannot be used as construction materials and are typically treated as waste.

Therefore, the Raw Edge Bench incorporates these waste scraps generated from the processing of serpentine marble and reassembles them into a bench. The straight edges of the discarded panels are cut at a 45-degree angle, while the irregular edges are preserved. Four pieces of waste panels are then joined together with a new panel through adhesive bonding. The beauty of the original stone's irregular edges, instead of being a flaw, creates a unique and irreplicable piece of furniture.

Each Raw Edge Bench will differ due to the use of different waste materials, making each one a distinct piece of art.
