Hengshan Calligraphy Center is the first public calligraphy art center in Taiwan. The building takes the mountain-shaped inkstone of calligraphy and seal carving as the main body, and the pond is like the water of grinding inkstone. The architect uses the pure spatial pattern to combine the waterfront, and divide the main body into five inkstones. The layout is enclosed from the courtyard, which brings in the waterfront of the pond and forms an art field connected with the environment.
