In recent years, there have been many successful examples of transforming public spaces, and large sports stadiums have also become an area of great attention. Athletes demonstrate high levels of professionalism on the field and require corresponding space planning and stadium image to create a stage for sporting events, allowing athletes to fully enjoy every moment on the field.
The Taipei Gymnasium, commonly known as the "Red House" is a place where many athletes must compete and excel before becoming professional athletes or representing their country. The Taipei Gymnasium can be considered a place where athletes, families, and audiences grow together.
Therefore, the Taipei Gymnasium is designed with the core concept of "home" emphasizing a warm and supportive image. It extends the spirit of "This is my house!" as if basketball players are guarding their territory, loudly proclaiming their ownership of the home court. These elements are utilized to develop a visual identity system that promotes unity and diversity in the Taipei Gymnasium. Additionally, the magenta color echoes the intuitive impression of the Red House while imbuing a youthful and innovative spirit.
The brand logo features a minimalist design with squares and circles. The three squares represent the three multi-functional courts inside the stadium, while the concentric circles symbolize unity and togetherness. The overlapping squares and circles form the entrance to a time tunnel, guiding an exciting journey through time. Sound waves extend outward on both sides, reminiscent of the cheers and shouts heard on the field, using sound to awaken memories and transform them into the power of support. The goal is to establish a warm, powerful, and professional image for the Taipei Gymnasium.
