Vox Nativa Taiwan was established in 2008 with the goal of enhancing the lives of indigenous children in Taiwan. The organization has built a school in a Bunun community in Hsin-Yi Township, Nantou County. Due to a lack of educational resources in the region, and financial problems commonly faced by parents, opportunities for indigenous children are often limited. The school aims to alleviate these problems by helping local kids build confidence through choir music. Kids can also improve their learning in core subjects by attending Vox Nativa classes on weekends and during vacation breaks.
《Sing for Love》is the first Vox Nativa Choir album to be released on vinyl. This milestone record reviews the past twelve years and documents the children‘s growth during this time.
A series of eight artworks printed on card are contained within the vinyl’s sleeve. Each presents Bunun culture, daily life in indigenous communities, and scenes of Vox Nativa students at school. If you fit the eight pieces together by timeline, it will present the whole life journey of a child, from elementary school through to high school, with the support of Vox Nativa. A window shape cut through the album’s cover allows users to change scenes by switching cards. When you look through this window, your vision will follow educators and volunteers as they nurture the development of these young students with patience and care.
