The “Taitung Arts and Culture Center” – Commissioned by the Taitung County Government Cultural Affairs Department, the platform revolves around the concept of the "Taitung Grand Art Museum", integrating various arts in Taitung to provide users with quick access to information about arts and cultural events in Taitung.
Taitung is a spectacular paradise in Taiwan, facing the sea and adjacent to the towering mountains. This environment has brought diverse inspirations to artists. “Taitung Arts and Culture Center” takes the "Art and Culture Map" as its core feature, aiming to enhance public understanding of Taitung. It’s also the first website among Taiwan's governments to focus on presenting local culture through arts and culture as its main theme.
The website is designed for users who have a passion for arts and cultural activities. The homepage opens with Taitung's landscapes by "scrolling dynamically" through the clouds. Departing from a sense of aesthetics, the map enables users to browse Taitung's local arts and cultural features, breaking away from conventional forms of geographic information.
To simplify and integrate the information and enhance user convenience, we focuses on "information integration" and "easy search". They can also retrieve information about upcoming events, making the website a gateway to understanding Taitung's culture. Whether local residents or tourists, users can obtain both aesthetically pleasing and practical information, significantly improving the browsing experience.
Through this project, we hope that the "Taitung Arts and Culture Platform" can serve as a leader in transforming traditional government websites, promoting the local culture through digital means, and offering immersive experiences through tourism and travel.
