"Meeting with Art Unexpectedly - the Taiwan High Speed Rail Art Project "was jointly planned by the Taiwan High Speed Rail Corporation and the National Culture and Arts Foundation, and taking "hearing" as the concept in 2022, to invite Blaire KO, the musician, and Agi CHEN, the artist, to jointly forge a brand new plan of "Formosa Walkman," to trace the source and the origin of symbolic Taiwan music, which transforms the High Speed Rail into a field of art, drawing the general public closer to the arts spread amongst the rail cabins and station.
The organizer and artists work together to implement the THSR Corporation enterprise spirit (4T) into the transportation experience through art and design: 1. Transportation: A new cue tone in cabins designed through appropriating the bunun ballad "Pislahi", and the limited edition of the commemorative ticket in every THSR Station. 2.Technology: The art installation- a super-sized LED device showing in three THSR stations. 3.Taiwan: A special podcast program and “T Holiday” for tourists. 4.Touch: Special workshops for students. The artists took the video and audio experience of new media device to have the audience enjoy a variety of beauty in nature and humanities; thereby encountering surprise along the journey and insertion of human warmth through the transportation.
