"A New Newspaper in Education: The Anne Times" is launched with the two core concepts of "Newspaper in Education” and “Art Education for Social Engagement." It aims to develop a sensory reading medium that incorporates diverse intelligences, holistic education, and immersive reading experiences. This publication aims to break the limits of established curriculum systems and covers various knowledge issues, balancing Taiwan's local culture with an international perspective. It emphasizes design and graphic quality, with full-page covers and cross-page interactive games as visual highlights. It can be flexibly used as independent reading material for students, teaching materials for teachers, and materials for parent-child reading. In February 2020, volumes 6-10 of "The Anne Times" were published successively, covering topics related to living environments, relationships with friends and pets, and the awareness of one's own emotions. Volume 11-15 guides children to explore and express themselves, dare to dream, and learn to listen and communicate.
Through collaboration with teachers from schools, together with the "Guidebook & Workbook", interdisciplinary themed courses have been developed across various subjects, such as living environments, gender equality, dreams, and emotions. This three-year project has reached schools at all levels nationwide, and the official website compiles relevant case studies and digital resources, while also establishing "The Anne Times Interactive Website" as a domestic aesthetic education open-source database and resource platform. Simultaneously, efforts are being made to build a teacher community, organize collaborative workshops, and cooperate with libraries and cultural venues to promote the project.
