A land of abundance that has been a thriving open city for over three hundred years. From the flourishing forestry industry and the preservation of traditional crafts to the vibrant artistic aesthetics, Chiayi takes pride in its rich cultural heritage nurtured by the deep-rooted beliefs of its people. The interlibrary collection at the public library reflects the diversity of themes, while its logo design embodies the image of "freedom and openness," characteristic of Chiayi City.

Through the medium of books, we hope to shape a space for communication and convey the possibilities that encapsulate the essence of the locality. The character "羅" not only represents the gathering of knowledge but also connects with the historical region (formerly known as Zhu Luo), envisioning the creation of a library that coexists with the people and belongs to the community.

Contemporary libraries focus on the use of "people" as a dynamic, friendly, and diverse space. The design strategy embraces the concept of "aggregation" and incorporates "typographic design" as an execution method. It introduces a versatile application of the logo, establishing a hierarchical relationship and color scheme between the main library and its branch libraries within different districts. The philosophy of subtraction extends beyond identity design to encompass system materials, information, and colors. The comprehensive visual system aims to create a "friendly, universal, and intuitive" modern identity image, reducing visual noise.
